  1. Automatic tiles represent open applications, and they appear and disappear automatically. But remembered tiles never appear or disappear on their own. You must create them yourself, and they will remain until you decide to delete them.

  3. There are three different ways to create a remembered tile. You can:

  5. 1. Drag an item from a Finder window, and drop it on The Tilery窶冱 tile.
  6.  
  7. 2. Drag an item from a Finder window, and drop it on The Tilery窶冱 icon in a Finder window.
  8.  
  9. 3. Select Remember Tile from the tile menu of an automatic tile.
  10.  
  11. Method 1 is usually best, but it only works on systems that support Macintosh Drag and Drop. Usually that窶冱 System 7.5 and later.

  13. Method 3 is an easy way to turn an automatic tile into a remembered tile. See Tile Menus for details.
